Oregon Fishing Guides

Deep Sea Fishing in Oregon?
During Spring Break, which for me is March 20-29. And I will be staying in Oregon for that week. I think we are staying in like Lincoln City, or somewhere around there. I want to go deep sea fishing. Is there like a guide you can go with or something? Because I don't know anything about deep sea fishing, but I really want to go!! So can you go with a guide or an experienced person? Do you have to pay? Or would I just have to go to the harbor/docks/bay whatever it's called, and sweet talk the fishermen to let me go with them? haha
So, in conclusion, what do I have to do to go deep sea fishing in Oregon that time of year?
All along the coast of Oregon you will find a number of charter boats catering to taking fishermen and women out for a half day or whole day of fishing and crabbing. Every community will have at least one or more professionals who specialize in this service. When you get to the coast, look in a telephone directory yellow page listing under FISHING. There will be a number of sub-categories including bait and tackle dealers, manufacturers, processors, and commercial charter boats. Pick the one or ones that sound best from their descriptions and make a few calls. There are a lot to choose from, but it will be easy to do. They do charge for their services just as everyone else does who's trying to make a living, and remember that their boats run on fuel too, so gas prices have a bearing on charter prices. The farther out you go, the more it costs to get there and get back again. However, the experience will be one you will enjoy and never forget. Go for it and have fun.
