What rod and reel combination to use for catching catfish?

I have one for the bullhead catfish, but dont get as big as they. I have a bag that I bought doughbait prepared and left in my tackle box in case, if I forgot my living or dead bait I use for catfish, I thought to use it. What line will be effective them.What bait hooks I use and what I use.

I usually just use a normal size 10 or a hook or more what I have in my tackle box. For Online I think one of 8 pounds or more test. Personally, just buy whatevers on the cheap side Wal-Mart. I have a Durango Rod Shakespeare Alpha Reel Shakespeare, Berkley (I think??) £ 30 braided line. The braided line has a diameter of 8 pounds, that's why I use I have not lost a fish on it yet. Long live fish.
